We can hardly believe that in 10 days we will be headed to the airport to begin this once-in-a-lifetime experience! Our flight leaves Friday June 20, going from Buffalo to Chicago to LA to Sydney to Cairns, AU! We then have a few days to recoup and then head from Cairns to Port Moresby to Lae, PNG!
Yes, we are excited and yes, we are nervous... especially for our kids, but we are confident that we can do all things through Him who gives us strength (even for 28 hours of travelling!). We hope to use this blog to keep you, our family and friends, updated during our 8 1/2 weeks away.
We, Tim, Elissa, Noah and Lucas Wildeboer are headed to Papua New Guinea for 8 weeks this summer! We plan to work with, visit with, share with, and laugh with our brother and sister-in-law (Ian & Nadia) and their beautiful children (Jonathan and Karlyn)! It is our hope that we will both be used as God's servants in PNG, and as an encouragement and help to their work and mission!

Wow ~ I can't believe you are leaving so soon...it seems like just yesterday we were talking about the BIG trip! And now it's here. We just wanted to wish you God's blessings as you join Ian, Nad and their family in PNG. May God give you the strength you need to do His work and to be so far away from the rest of your family :) We'll have to get together when you get back so I can HEAR all the stories (although, I really do appreciate being able to read what you'll be doing while you are there!).
